Calidris

Calidris (schinzii) is the scientific name of the shorebird Dunlin, which rarely breeds in Sweden, with only around 45 pairs remaining. Most of these birds are found on southern Öland. It is also the name of a magazine published by the Ornithological Society of Öland. Since autumn 2025, I have served as editor and graphic designer of the magazine, highlighting the island’s birdlife and its habitats. Below are covers from some of our most recent issues.
