Calidris

Calidris (schinzii) is the scientific name of the shorebird Dunlin, which rarely breeds in Sweden, with only around 45 pairs remaining. Most of these birds are found on southern Öland. It is also the name of a magazine published by the Ornithological Society of Öland. Since the autumn of 2025, I have been the editor of the magazine, highlighting the birdlife and its habitats on the island. Below you will find some covers from our most recent issues.
